Project Description
This project involved conducting a comprehensive analysis of energy, water and refrigerants use as well as waste generation in the hospitality industry in Zimbabwe. The project results aim to support the implementation of Zimbabwe’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by identifying energy and water saving opportunities together with the design of integrated waste management solutions that contribute to reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
Activities
- Organizing an inception meeting to discuss the project plan.
- Conducting baseline analysis of energy, water and refrigerants use as well as waste management systems.
- Detailed field measurements of electricity, water and refrigerants use as well as waste generation.
- Preparation of technical and investment-grade reports.
- Presenting the results in a stakeholder workshop.
