This project aims to develop a framework for the potential derivation of below-zero net carbon emissions from the sustainable power generation pathway in Zimbabwe. The project involves auditing power generation in Zimbabwe, reviewing the national energy mix, conducting a national grid emission factor analysis, and analyzing the role of the Zimbabwe extractive industry in the national energy transition to renewable energy.
